Multitrack EQ - 0dB still alters the signal?

Hi,
I'm trying to EQ the bass parts on some multitrack songs I've done and I've notice the lowest filter has some unusual behaviour...

When the gain for this band is set to 0dB there is still an audible difference heard when sweeping the frequency slider. I would expect no difference when the gain is at 0dB.

Can anyone confirm if this is supposed to work like this? I can't see why it should.

That's actually not possible. When gain is 0db, that band is completely disengaged and not active. All filter bands behave equally.

If I remember correctly, I had moved the gain on several bands before working with the lowest one and I had moved the gain on that but then reset it to 0dB... After that sliding the frequency was clearly altering the bass output... I'll try to recreate when I have more time.
