Mute/Unmute track timecode?

I'm new to ST3 and wondering it there a way to mute/unmute a specific track using a timecode? An example would be I want to have a piano track playing along but then mute out the solo portion? Anyway this is possible? Currently I am cutting out the piano solo and saving it as a separate track then I create a 2nd version of the song with the track minus piano solo.

eddiej You could technically do this by having a midi footswitch and setting up a midi loop. You’d send a timed message to your footswitch which you’d set up to trigger and send the assigned midi message to stop that track in ST.

There is no way to do a track automation in the current version.

Thanks for the answers. The midi code answer is an interesting one. It has me thinking how I might be able implement something else.
