Database Tasks?

Is there any way given that everything is already in a database that we can do basic database tasks, like for example, multi select songs and tag them all together , or multiple deletes rather than one by one ?
A REALLY useful one would be to find songs not used in any playlist so they can be deleted..
Are any of these things possible? Have I missed that bit?
would be REALLY useful... either on the Mac app or on the Ipad...

Enter edit mode in the song list or playlist to modify multiple songs at the same time.

But there is no search option to list songs that are not in any playlist.

aaaah useful info- thanks Peter ...maybe worth thinking about expanding what we can do in the database in later builds..just a thought :-)
