Hello I hope you are well
I have three devices to set up, and when I use program changes (as per my example below) NONE of the devices change to the correct program patch. I intend to insert CC messages on the timeline as the song progresses. There are 499 program changes possible
[midi@00:00.10: PC32.1@0, PC32.0@1 , PC0.1:11@2]

However, when I “listen” on midi from one of the devices ( which has started with all CC set to “off” it works well, with the command as below
[midi@00:00.10: PC32.0@1,CC115.0@1,CC117.0@1,CC112.0@1,CC110.0@1,CC111.0@1,CC113.0@1,CC21.64@1,CC19.0@1,CC16.64@1]

Am I missing something preventing my moment of brilliance?

Midimannz there are 3 issues with your PC change syntax, there is no channel 0 (not sure if that was put in error or not). You also do not need a value after the whole number so just leave it as PC32@1. In your 3rd PC change the syntax is wrong and should just be PC0@2.

What device are you using that needs that many CC changes in one go out of interest?

I have two Voicelive 3 Extreme vocal processors and a Pod XTLive guitar pedal.
I do a full VL3X sound effects off at the beginning and end of each song to make sure there’s no effects on between songs (except the reverb I have on the mixer) as I would hear effects still remain on when we were chatting between songs, or as a new song started. It was distracting ‘speaking with harmony’ .
This way I introduce vocal effects closer to when they’re needed, not when the song starts, but when the voice comes in , just in case the singer is still talking as the tune starts

Channel 0 is usually channel 1 on my VL3X first unit. It’s how on song displayed it (Midi-1)
Can you explain…….
What happens to the syntax when PC 129 is reached, as midi goes to 128 and a new bank has to begin numbering and I have 499 banks to choose from

It may be a syntax error as the first line I copied across from OnSong
This may be better, drop the semi colon and add a dot. I will try it out in the morning

MIDI channels in Stage Traxx start with 1. So if you want to convert Onsong midi commands you need to add 1 to the channel.

The PC command in Onsong can send MSB and LSB values to select program banks. ST3 can only send LSB directly in the PC command. This is fine for the VL3x, as it only uses LSB if I'm not mistaken.

So the Onsong command: PC0.1:11@2 (MSB 0, LSB 1 and PC 11) should be written as PC11.1@3 in ST3.
