Mute Sections of a Track

Hi, just getting started with ST3 and enjoying it so far. I wondered if there was a way I can mute parts of a click track.

I have a track, that has a piano intro (Rocketman) and the drums come in and out - so I've got the click track running on track 1 (mono) and the rest of the backing running on track 3/4 (stereo). However the click track is incessant 😃 and I'd like to mute it during the sections with full backing / rhythm.

Is this something I should load it into a DAW and edit the click track mp3 - or can I achieve it in ST3 without editing any mp3 files. If not, would it be something I could suggest as a feature. Could maybe tie it in with the audio regions - and you could mute certain regions on certain tracks?

You will need to edit the track in a daw. It is possible to mute tracks but not automated. So you would need to mute the track manually each time during playback.
