I recently started to use this app and is just fantastic. I come from Set List Maker AND Trax but realized that Stage Traxx 3 can replace both and still offer much more.

One feature I'd like to see is the option to have the bracketed chords not only above but also inline (a toggle switch in Settings). When bracketed chords are used with lyrics it makes sense to use the bracketed chord format and place it above BUT if someone is only using chords without lyrics then it might be useful to have the chords inline. For example in Set List Maker we use this convention for a chord chart (again without lyrics)

[G] / / / [A] / / /

Using this chord convention doesn't make sense if the chord is going to be above the first "/" in the Players view. Having a Setting option to change from "Above" to "Inline" for this case will make sense.

We have tons of songs in Set List maker that we want to migrate to Stage Tract and it will take a while.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for listening

The rendering engine in Stage Traxx is not able to color inline chords. You can either force a whole line to be renedered as chords or render chords as normal text.

I’m trying to find a workaround but neither will achieve what I’m after. If I do:
[G] / / / [A] / / /
I get the G above the first / which visually is not I need but I’m able to transpose the chords
And if I try
G / / / A / / /
I get what I need visually (even though the / are also green) but the transpose function doesn’t work.

Anyway, I thought this was an easy fix but from what you say I realize there is a complete engine that renders this ChordPro notation and it will be complicated.

Thanks so much for your quick response !

That‘s right. Transposition only works on real chord lines and not on forced chord lines.
