Trying to use hx stomp with stage Traxx 3,

When I hit the midi button in the lyrics edit it says waiting for command but I can't hit Play, Nothing happens. Really would like to use this feature if anyone can help I would really appreciate it Thanks

Thank you, I did get it to work, I wasn't in stomp mode, that was the problem. So now I can control my stomp by recording in lyric mode. Awesome! So now i am wondering, if i hook my digital piano to midi and put it on a different channel, and record in lyrics mode. Will it record note changes as well?. Like if I play some Piano throughout the song?. Thanks for the help.

nstn5266 yes you can. By lyric mode do you mean within edit lyrics and timestamping your midi commands?

So My piano recorded perfectly with midi in lyrics record. I have one other question,
I have
1 hx stomp usb midi
1 roland piano usb midi
1 alesis nitro drum set usb midi
1 hx pod go usb midi

Can I hook all of these using a powered usb hub to my computer and control all of these on separate channels with Stagetrax 3? Thank you

Yes, that should work but keep in mind if more than one of these devices also acts as an audio interface then iOS will only use the last device connected. So make sure to connect the device you want to use as an audio interface last.

Hello, I have another question about recording midi from my roland fp10 to stage traxx 3. I have recorded a track into a song of stage traxx 3 using usb midi from my roland fp10. Works great. Than I changed the sound on the fp10 to a string and recorded that. problem is when i play it back it plays the piano sound. Not the string... anyone know why this would happen? Thank you

nstn5266 it sounds like you didn’t record the strings program change, piano is the default as it’s the first sound on keyboard general midi setting , just hit the strings program change after you hit record midi to make sure you have recorded the actual string program change , you could manually inset it if you knew the exact midi command.
Another thing, you need to change midi channel if you want to run 2 sounds at the same time.

Got it, Makes sense, got it working,,,, Thank You so much, I have the 3.8 version and It has the visual metronome. I have watched the videos on it. I go into the setting for it and set BPM and set it to stop or play or both and nothing happens, no square light flashing as shown in the video, Do I have a setting wrong somewhere?

nstn5266 have you set a time if lyrics only song?, have you loaded an audio song if stereo backing is used ?
If so than it should simply work by choosing an appropriate option

I have an audio file loaded that is synced with the lyrics, so Bpm and time are set automatically. But for some reason I can't get it to work at all with any of the settings.

Create a new lyrics only song, set a duration for it and set the metronome to "Both". Close song details and see if you can see it flashing now.

Created a new lyrics song with no music, set the time to 3:00, set the metronome to both and tried other options to, still no flashing. using MacBook pro, darn, it looks so simple in the video, do I have a setting not turned on or something?
