Hi all,
I bought an cheap external customizable 8 keys keyboard from aliexpress to control ST3.
It feels robust and tactile. I like it!

..but I got confused.

I connect the USB-C cable, and start assign the actions.
It seems like it sends Key 1-8 when I push the buttons.
Works as it should..

But then I see it does also register as a Airturn device.
When I push the keys it registers as "Airturn Port 1", 2, 3 and so on... but only 6 keys..
I never used any Airturn products and did not know this one did support it before I bought..
But I heard it is great, and I thought "WOW GREAT"!

...but then I found out it's only active when ST3 is focused!
I thought Airturn device's can act even if the app is not in focus...

But now I confused..
Anyone..?!

So, ST3 can only read commands from a keyboard directly on MacOS. On iOS you need to make it work as a Airturn keyboard device. So if you have to enable Airturn Keyboad support in ST3. Then you can use the buttons 1-6. Airturn does not support more at the moment.

If you need to remote control ST3 while it is minimized, you will have to use either a real Airturn device that supports the AirDirect mode, or a bluetooth midi device.
