Its ok but not great, why?
If you enable it you loose the instant pause capability , well that immediately becomes a useless feature as i need to be able to pause whenever i feel is the best moment in different songs its at different points to get best audience impact , turning this feature on kills the other feature completely , what i thought we were going to get was something that works like this, as you hit pause with this feature engaged what it does it pauses the lyrics scrolling and jumps to the next loop beginning, so what this means it allows you to sing through to the end of that section and without any effort by hitting play it resumes at beginning of next loop with auto lyrics scroll back to auto mode,
This then gives us simple operation and much greater power to pause wherever we want knowing we can reactivate the backing especially now that we have a visual click to go by so we can stay on time while stopped the lyrics are still on screen to follow and can be manually moved till we hit start where the next section begins perfectly in time, this then gives us all sorts of possibilities, if for some reason after a pause and an automated cue to next region beginning this is not desirable you can just choose another region and hit start and you have a solo following a crowd interaction instead of another verse, this creates flexibility and does not restrict any functions, the STOP PAUSE function is still the same if you disable this function but when its enabled you can still use the pause whenever but it cues up automatically to beginning of next loop,
Ending at the end of loop is not ideal as normally you end on the first note , so what you get now is a sudden NOTHING at the stop point i normally allow the first note to be heard as you stop this has better impact, so i rather choose my exit wherever and have automated the entry point to be perfect.
I hope this makes sense , thats why i was asking for natural reverb at a stop point as that would give the exit point a very natural end and the in point would be perfect as its automatically selected for you on the next loop , thats if you want that as you can always choose any other loop instead, this creates true flexibility and a very powerful tool to interact with the audience, this would create a lot more worth while result to us and the audience then having a hi hat trigger a green light thats flashing on the snare that lasts a pumpith of a second.
Just pointing out again , once you choose to stop and adlib normally you actually sing through the next loop so you need the loop after that to join so my suggestion is to automate that change as the loop stops at the end the next loop chosen should be either a newly selected loop that was pre chosen or you skip the the next loop as this is now sung without backing and its the following loop thats needed, so why not automate that , so all we need to do is select stop and once we have gone through the interaction just hit start again, this creates a very easy system thats not hard to achieve because its automated.
There are songs that have two section in a chorus that repeat so this allows us to play around with the audience where you can repeat the chorus and drop out anywhere within the chorus and repeat till the cows come home but you allways know you can come back to the next section as it was automatically selected for you or perhaps you have chosen a solo , but you are always in control and in time thanks to the visual click , this is freedom and ease, at the moment its just a stop and no benefit as you have to do work to do something that definitely needs doing otherwise you will be repeating yourself if you don't take extra steps, this should be automated.
I love the new logic of lyrics manual and auto scroll , its a perfect example of good handy logic where if you stop and move the lyrics you are in manual mode and it remains manual until you hit play then it automatically goes back to auto scroll, this is a good example of user friendly logic.
