Midi command code to receive presets above 127?

Thanks in advance. Using any midi command to load a preset from 0-127 i.e., [midi@00:01.0: PC45.0@1] to my TC Helicon Voicelive play GTX, I can change any PC patch# and it works perfect! But I can't find the right code for higher presets, for which the VLP GTX has 500 presets! I tried what's in the ST3 manual i.e., PC137.2@2] but when doing that it locks all my songs in ST3 to older preset? I tried other PC & bank numbers, 3, 4, 5? same results? I believe I'm correct that when adding Banks i.e. 2, that next bank would be starting at preset 129, + 128. would mean Bank 2 = from 129+128=Presets on VLP GTX as Presets 129 thru 157! And then bank 3 158 thru 286, etc. So I thought I could use [midi@00:01.0: PC137.2@1] to change to preset 138 on VLP GTX? Still can't find the right code? Once again thank you in advance, any information regarding this matter will be highly appreciated! Willie

Just try to learn this Program Change message by pressing button on your VoiceLive Play.

Select previous preset (program) on your device (not the one you want to select/learn)
In ST3 in Lyrics Editor press MIDI Learn button
Press Next Preset on your VoiceLive

This way is much faster then reading manual and calculating specific command

EDIT: Looks like VoiceLive Play GTX does not have MIDI out port. So try to connect it to your iPad via USB hub and Lightning adapter (Camera Connection Kit).
On VoiceLive Touch 2 preset number 201 is PC72.1, if I remember correctly.
Unfortunately MIDI implementation is different (in my experience) on different devices. MIDI Learn function in your best friend then. Good luck!

First you need to find out how to address your patches on your device. Bank change commands are divided into a so called MSB part and a LSB part. Most devices use MSB fixed at 0 and only need the LSB part. That's what the PCxxx.y@z command in Stage Traxx does. The y in the command is the LSB value for your device.

If your device also needs a MSB value other than 0, then you need to prepend the PC command with a CC0 command.

Example: You need to send MSB 10 and LSB 5 followed by program change 10. Write the following: [midi: CC0.10@1,PC10.5@1]
