All tracks fading in

The tracks when played on the iPad itself do not fade in. Through my PA system they fade in. Every track. My mixer is a Mackie DL16S. Any ideas? Your help is very much appreciated!

ST3 has only an option to fade in if you start playback in the middle of a track. It does not fade in when the playhead is located at the beginning of a track.

I was using the wrong terminology in my initial request. What I’m experiencing is latency. And what I discovered today by changing back to a 1/8” to stereo L/R 1/4” cable from the lightning plug to 1/4” L/R is that the latency disappeared. So this latency is directly related to using a lightning plug. Are you aware of this possibly? And if so, do you have any remedy that would allow me to continue using the lightning plug?

Switch to another lightning to usb adapter. 3rd party adapter might cause issues. The original Apple adapter works usually fine.

Going back to a 3.5 mm stereo plug fixed this issue.

I think i have the same problem. I split the signal with a lighting - p2 female cable, then split it into Y cable p2 (2x)P10: I link the right channel of my iphone direct into my PA and the left channel to my headphones amp. The issue i get is that on my headphones instead of hearing the first 4 metronome beats (so the backing track will start to play) i can only hear 3 beats. But the funny thing about it is that on the first song i can hear all 4 beats, then on the following songs songs it always keep muting the first metronome beat.

You could add a bit of silence at the beginning of the files. That should give the faulty adapters a bit of time to prepare for playback.
