Hi all first time poster here, before I start I have had a look around here but can’t see anything about Emu software, also did contact Peter who referred me to the forum, so here goes ,I would like to trigger lighting shows in EMU from ST3, so if I built a complete show to match my set list on ST3 how would i link it to ST3 to trigger it song by song as I go through the list if you understand what I mean.
Atm I use a standalone Ipad pro which is link via usb b and lightning port and I have all volume and fx sorted out so no problem with them,.
The Emu software is on my MacBook pro as it don’t run on Ipad, If I could link it to ST3 which I have on my MacBook as well just as a back up, I could then control it from my Ipad, I hope you can all understand what I am trying to accomplish any help woul be much appreciated

You could use a Bluetooth midi host such as CME UHOST

Or alternatively use a software based program BTPRO from BOME

These are more reliable than the built in Bluetooth that Apple uses and forces reconnections if it drops

The UHOST is a more simple set up and plug and play to connect

Once you have your connections set up you would select for example UHOST and STAGE TRAXX as your midi in and outs

Set up midi commands in the lyrics editor for your lighting changes

So the signal flow is midi from lyrics editor > ST3 midi out > UHOST midi in > EMU software > lighting presets change

    Regarding the midi connection between iPad and Mac, you should take a look at the midimittr app. It allows to send midi over wifi to your Mac.

      jaytrax Thanks for that ,I do have a CME widi jack that I have pluged into my foot pedal to control ST3 on my Ipad which work fine, I think I will look into the CME UHOST it looks the least complicated Thanks again

        peter I have tried to link my MacBook and Ipad with midimittr with no success , it sends my Ipad ID to my macbook which show up in the Bluetooth devises but just won’t connect ?

          I have never used midi between mac and iPad so I don‘t have details but I think you should be able to google a tutorial for it.
