SoloGuy So, I ran into an interesting scenario. I’ll be playing bass with a band on Saturday and just created a playlist that has nothing but placeholders in it. The idea is to have reminders of what key this particular band does a particular song and maybe the basic progression of the chords in the song as well as other info shown in the lyrics. Now, here’s the thing. I hit the play button and of course there’s no audio to play so that’ll fine but the lyrics with the song info I need does not show up! I solved it by adding a song that does have audio and hit play and then stop again and lyrics will then show but is this the only solution?
peter No, it is not. When using placeholders, the play button is changed to a next button. So if you press that the next song is loaded. You can see the lyrics by opening the lyrics view manually. Just tap the song title on the mini player.
SoloGuy Hmmm, that doesn’t happen on my iPad. It stays as a play button. I’m not in front of it now but I’ll try your suggestion when I get a chance. Thanks @peter.
peter Just checked it. The play button turns into a grey next button when the current song is a placeholder.
SoloGuy Ok, I’ll check when I get home tonight. I’ll send a screen capture if it’s not doing what it’s supposed to. Thanks!
