In our duo we have 2 iPads, one each. I tend to download new songs etc and I then need to update my duo partners.How do I do it?. I’m sure this has been asked and answered many times but I’m getting on a bit and a mite thick with tech stuff so my apologies for troubling you.

foxcombe guessing the iPads have different iCloud accounts? If so there’s no quick way of doing it other than changing it on his or changing it on yours and resending it.

Yes, there are only two ways to do that:

Create a full backup and Airdrop that to the other iPads. This will replace the whole song database with your backup
Export songs or whole playlists and Airdrop this file to the other iPads. This will only add the new songs to the other iPads. If existing songs need to be updated, they need to be deleted first (this will most likely change in version 3.8 so that you can update existing songs without deleting them first)

hi Peter. Well, airdrop worked well ,sort of !! What happened was that only about 50% of the playlist went over to the other iPad with the numbering missing and songs left out of the ones that did go over. We are now moving the missing ones manually from the song list to the appropriate playlist. That works ok.
Any ideas as to why the complete playlist didn't go across ? thanks

The file would be unreadable if only half of it was transferred. Are you sure you did select all songs you wanted when creating that file?

@"hi Peter, I’m confused. No disrespect but instructions on how to do things often start at page 3 not page 1 !! So, the 50% that copied are ok and the rest can be done manually. Music and lyrics are all ok.
So, are you saying that I need to tap on edit? Mark the songs I want to airdrop, then press the firing button? If not how do I do it?

Sorry, I don't understand the problem. Select the songs you want to export, tap on the share button and if it is a rather large export (many songs), first save it as a file somewhere on the iPad. Then open the Files app and Airdrop the file from there.
