Not showing Local Lyrics on Some songs

Hi! We're using Stagetraxx to run 6 different devices onstage -- each of them uses their own local lyrics because they're for different members to see different things. We do NOT use the iCloud sync, each device has its own separate StageTraxx files. We run the Host on an iPad and I use my MacMini to send lyrics to a video monitor screen. On the MacMini, only SOME of my "local lyrics" won't display. They use the Host lyrics. But it's only on SOME songs. I'm posting a screenshot below -- it's only doing this on the yellow tracks, those are all vocal cues (there's an audio file with a vocal cue and those cues also read out in text on the screen.) For some reason, ONLY those tracks are refusing to use the Local lyrics.... any idea why?

Hi, just an update, I had another band member change the lyrics on one of his songs in yellow (on an ipad), and same exact thing is happening --- it won't use his Local Lyrics. But the Local Lyrics for all the songs in white are just fine (meaning they are truly Local.)

ginacc the only reason (i think) local lyrics won’t show is because the name and artist doesn’t match. This has to be exact and even down to where there are capital letters. Sometimes even when I can see both do match it’s because one has a space at end which you can’t see so the best thing is to delete the name of the song or artist and type it out again.

It’s hard to say if this is your issue as you’d need to post screen shots from both iPads but I hope that helps solve it for you.
Although I’m not sure why changing the lyrics on one of the songs has stopped it working on that particular song mind.

Most likely there is a spelling mistake for title and artist. Your yellow songs don‘t have artist set. I guess that is the problem.

Make sure title and artist match.

Reporting back! That worked! All I had to do was name all the files "CUES" on every device and now the "LOCAL LYRICS" are displaying. Thanks!!! I never would have figured that out on my own.

Just thought I'd add to this old thread as it was the first one that came up when I was searching on this problem. I was just dealing with the same issue - I had 1-2 local lyric file versions, out of ₂₀, that would not display.

As I held the Host and Client iPads side by side, the song title and artist looked absolutely identical.
On the Host iPad, in the Song details, I erased and re-typed the song title and artist, which again looked absolutely identical to what it was before, and now local lyrics were displaying.

I can only assume that maybe there was a space in front of either the Song Title or Artist that was not able to be seen in the Song Details page.

I'm not sure how, but it would be handy if there was some way to review what is in ST and make it easier to find these issues. Sort of like when you are using Microsoft Word and you turn on 'Show Special Characters' so you can easily spot spaces and tabs.
