Hi Peter, here’s an idea of logic change if possible to put that extra polish in ST3, see what you think.
At the moment we are in STOP mode we have just opened ST3 and all the last song selection is and next song are remembered from last operation , now if I change to another playlist where those selected songs exist, when I enter this new playlist I would like to see the now to play song in view immediately so if I hit start I can also see the now selected song in the song list , at the moment ST3 does this when you are playing a song and you go to SONG mode it does this and if you go back to playlist it does this , but I would like this logic to be present in all changing views no matter if you are in PLAY or STOP mode the first view should always be the now playing song the second logic is if you enter a playlist but the now playing song does not exist in the newly selected playlist but the NEXT song does exist then the NEXT song becomes the primary view in that playlist or SONG mode.
If you enter a new playlist and it has NO first song or next song in it then the beginning of that playlist is the target.
This way no matter where you go either in STOP or PLAY mode PLAYLISTS or SONG mode there is a logic to it you always see your playing song or the next song then you can go and do changes from there , basically it’s a smarter starting point giving you information this is where you are at , what do you want to do next and if you do decide to change you will loose this existing selection.
Instead now we just get a beginning of playlists or SONG mode.
I always like to see my now and next song then I like to make a decision to where I’m going, I know the information is available in the upper song box but it would be nice if the song list follows the SHOW as well as much as possible , at the moment it’s a bit lazy and it would be great if it kept up with what’s going on and visually give confidence to user at all times at what’s going on.
What do you think ?
Cheers Damir
