3.7.2 big problems

Updated to 3.7 songs all jumbled, now have missing lyrics ?? Help??

I‘m sorry, I‘m not aware of an issue with missing lyrics. Can you restore a backup?

peter Ok I recently went to I cloud so I could take advantage of some of the changes offered in ST. I am running 2 I pads and one Mac. I am not the smartest running these lol. Everything seemed to be working fine and all devices were updating. I did have issues when I first went to 3.7. Songs lists all out of order and many duplicates. I fixed all that. Then yesterday was rehearsing and played a song, lyrics only. Then went back to do it again and the lyric page was blank. Then went to another device and the lyrics were there? Then all devices went the same . Had a list of 25 songs and about 5 songs had no lyrics. So yes I went back to a back up of a few days ago and got everything back and also shut off I Cloud in all devices. Now trying to remember all the changes I made from that back up. I realize some of this is my lack of experience and I apologize for that. I have been loving ST and did a ton of research as this was my first app. I have convinced some of my band mates to switch to ST and they are struggling trying to bring 500 songs over from set list but that is a separate issue. We are all in our 60s lol so that probably does not help. Sorry for the long response. Roger

Now I understand. The problem was caused by enabling Cloud Sync on devices that already contained data. This caused the duplicates and also the problem with the missing lyrics. Version 3.7.2 tries to salvage this situation and if it can‘t it writes lyrics that can not be assigned to a song to the folder Restored Lyrics. You could check if you can find it there.

Of course the better option would be to restore a backup file on one device while all other devices are still connected to the Cloud.

peter Oh thank you Peter I will re read that again and again LOL. So another dumb question - how to I reinstall the app ? And another question how can I change my heading from Big Problems to just Problems. I feel I may have over reacted as I'm under the gun here getting ready for a show. I feel that is not a fair comment .

Don‘t worry about the heading.

To reinstall an app you first need to delete by holding down its icon until a context menu opens. Then you can delete it. This will also remove all data in the app. After that you can install it again from the app store.
