Hi Peter, I have a dedicated folder in my iCloud storage that I have been regularly saving my manual backups into. I can manage them from there and delete old backups to free up storage space. I have enabled the v3.7 iCloud sync on my primary and secondary (backup) iPads but can't seem to find where ST3 is saving the iCloud sync files so that I can keep track of the data storage. Where should l I find the data files please? .... in the iCloud folder I created for the manual backups or a custom location that ST3 creates? Thanks.

Also, I must mention that the move to v3.7 iCloud sync was rather scary at first - my playlists were reordered (fortunately restored a data base backup and that fixed it. Also had a number of back tracks missing on my backup iPad - that seems to have stabilised now - I hope just an initial glitch and it stays that way.

Thanks. Regards.

Don't confuse iCloud Drive with other iCloud services. Stage Traxx sets up a private iCloud database. It is not a directory in iCloud Drive. You can only access it through the iCloud control panel manage storage view to delete this database. No other interaction is possible outside of Stage Traxx.

I have indeed f...d up the migration to new database structure in regards to playlist order. But thankfully everything else (most important song meta data) did not have any migration issues. Myself I am currently preparing a show with around 30 multitrack songs on different devices and iCloud is a enormous time saver.

peter Hi Peter, as always, thanks for your excellent support for this great App.

So, if I understand you correctly, I will be able to see (monitor the size of) the pvt ST3 db files if I log into iCloud from my PC?

Pls don’t beat yourself up too much about the “song list shuffle”.. every now and then one slips past the goal keeper….. no gains without a few pains, they say. The upshot is that the sync seems stable after the initial upgrade.

Just as an aside, the re-enabling of the lyric scroll after manually shifting is very welcome. May I suggest a bigger button (like the one that pops up when you are looping a section of the song)… this would be a great help for anyone with “fat fingers” :-)

Thanks again, Peter, for your excellent support.

Yes, you can see the size of the database when you open your device settings > tap on your name on top of settings > iCloud > Manage Account Storage. There you can also delete the whole database when you no longer want to use the iCloud feature.

peter combining ST3 with ICloud is a game changer. I can be 500 miles away from my iPad and move things around in my iPhone and - boom! - they are there!

    Hi Peter

I'm brand new to the Stage Traxx app having just bought it yesterday, so thank you for making such an excellent product.

I'm a bit lost however when I try to Sync via iCloud; I have created a few multitrack songs on my iPad, and wish to work on those on my Mac.
As far as I can tell I need to open ST on my Mac, press the '+' sign in the top left, and select add a song from 'Local and Cloud Files' - is that correct? Because when I do, it opens up the iCloud file browser and I don't see a Stage Traxx folder with any of the tracks I have synced from my iPad in it.

    Many thanks in advance

No, if you want to syncronize your devices you need to enable Settings > iCloud Sync (make sure you have enough space in iCloud). Be careful, it is important to first enable that option on the device that contains your data!!!! The other devices will then clear out their local data when you enable that option and download everything from iCloud. Once the devices are synced you can edit on any device and all changes will show up on the other devices.

Best practice: Create a full backup before enabling iCloud in case you get the order wrong when enabling that feature.
