View lyrics & Chords before song starts.

Hi.
I like to view the opening lyrics/chords or any notation I may have written for the song before the song starts in order to be prepared.
Is it possible to select the song, and have the lyrics/chords page appear, after which the song doesn't start until the play button is pushed?

jasontakenote In the previous versions this is exactly how it worked.
It appears that since the new version 3.7 it no longer does this.
Like you, I have a lot of info at the top of the lyrics so that when the next song is queued up I have the information ready in front of me. It’s only since 3.7 has installed that this is no longer the case.
This is quite frustrating as it’s going to look quite un professional to scroll back up the text between each song.
Unless there’s a new setting somewhere?

Bikerclive Thanks for your reply.
I'm new to Stage Traxx (was previously using On Song) so didn't see the previous versions of Stage Traxx.
The only way around this that I can see is to allow enough time at the beginning of each soundfile so that you can press play and then pause. Not very practical though, and plenty of room for error. Also not possible if the person doesn't have the tools to edit their soundfiles.
Will be interesting to see what Peter has to say regarding this.
Here's hoping he can shine some light.

jasontakenote Make sure you stay in the big player. So if you see the mini player at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the song title to open the big player. Here you will see lyrics before you start playback.

Bikerclive I fail to see this problem. When the player switches to the next song, the first line is displayed. Could you maybe send me a short video?

Hi Peter,
Something has changed in the new 3.7 release - when a song finishes in the play queue, the next song in queued up but the lyrics no longer position themselves at the top - seems to be randomly somewhere in the middle of the text.
Are you aware of this and is there a planned fix please

I don't understand this issue. When the next song is loaded the lyrics are shown. It is in no way connected to the play button.

Hi Peter,
I’ve done some more investigating and have discovered the following:
If the “Hide song list during playback” is checked (I.e. on) then on completion of a song, the lyrics don’t display at the top of the next song.
If the “Hide song list during playback” is unchecked (I.e. off) then on completion of a song, the lyrics then position at the start of the next song as you would expect.
Now that I understand that behaviour then I can set it to work as I require.
Maybe in a later update you can modify so that it behaves by positioning the lyrics at the top regardless of the “hide song list during playback” setting?
It would be interesting to know if you can reproduce this issue?

OK, yes I see the problem. This is caused by the fact that the lyrics view width changes when the song list slides in. Not sure why it happens though. But I will take a look at it.
