ST3 + Helix + MIDI

hi all.
using ST3 to send commands to my helix. was having trouble with the ST3 "midi listen" button inside the lyric editor. I could manually enter the info (with trial and error) but ST3 couldn't "hear" the helix buttons as I pushed them.
figured out that under GLOBAL SETTINGS - MIDI/TEMPO there's and option for "Snapshot CC Send" which was off by default. Turned it on and now ST3 can "hear" my snapshot changes. Which is great because I use snaps most of the time. Woohoo!

My issue is that ST3 can't "hear" individual stompbox buttons when I need to use them. There's no "Stompbox CC Send" or anything under global settings. And I really don't mind programming manually if needed, but is there a way to have ST3 hear stomp commands?? I imagine I can dig up the Helix CC#s for each button but maybe there's an easier way?

Lishy I'd like ST3 to send a signal to the helix to change patches/effects. I've figured out snapshots but not individual effects.

pressthe6 I was confused as you said you wanted ST to ‘hear’ the helix but you actually mean the other way around?
I think it can control individual footswitches but you’ll have to check the helix manual for the relevant CC#’s

Lishy meant ST3 hearing the helix for entering MIDI info instead of typing in the commands manually. Once the midi info is embedded in the lyrics, helix will indeed be the one listening :-)

pressthe6 yeah there’s no other way around that.
The only way of making it quicker is having a list of all the messages you’d need and copying and pasting them in.

You can assign each of the foot switches a separate midi cc message on the helix. They are programmed with a default number in the manual too.
