Lyric in different colour.

I wan't to changes the collor(yellow) from the lyric ,we use this with two and if we have a song some text must be singing by me and an other row by my collegue and that is handy if that's pup op in an other collor instead off yellow.
is that possible and is there an example how to make that.

Colors
Text can be rendered in different colors. To show colored text, add the tag {c:COLOR} before and after a word or phrase. COLOR can have one of the following values: red, orange, yellow, green, tealblue, blue, purple or pink

This will display {c:red}red text{c}.

We are a duo and learning a song with different parts on different lines in the verses
We are able to apply colour to our lines but if we try and make them easier to read by removing the brackets and c:red for example… we lose the colour
Is this something we should just have to get used to

Sundown you should only see the brackets in the editor so not sure why you would need to remove them to make it easier to read?

Hi Peter,
I did some singalongs and several people asked it is not better to have the current line in black text and the other text in a different color. For people that are also color sensitive, this would be a good option. It stands out against the white much better and currently anything except black as the current text tends to de-emphasise a bit. Somehow it works currently like dimming.

You can already choose the highlight color in Settings > User Interface > Colors.

The greyed out approach is interesting and I already had that in mind for one of the next feature versions as that would allow colored text to stay colored even when highlighted.

peter The update is great so far, Peter. But I don't find the highlight current line color option in white. That was the one thing I wanted more than anything..

Hi, Peter. First of all, I love ST3. Thank you for all your efforts.
I have been trying to follow your instructions to change the color of certain lines of my lyrics, but it doesn’t seem to work. For example, I edited one line in Edit lyrics as follows:

{c:red}Come to me now{c:red}

The result is that it displays exactly like that, with the commands, etc. but no change in the color. Can you see anything that I’ve done incorrectly? Thanks!

sandypardee take the word red out of the second of the 2 brackets.

That did it! Actually, I had to remove the word "red" plus the colon, too, but in any case it worked. I'll try reading the instructions more closely next time. 🙂 Thanks!!

Hi Peter, ST3 is a great tool!
Is there also a possibility not only to color text, but also to color the highlight or background color of a text phrase or complete line differently?
