Duplicating my ipad to a new ipad

Peter, I have to say once again well done on this holy grail you created, I'm sure all will agree, makes everything so easy to concentrate on your performance, learning sings changing key, time stamping etc etc, and everyone on here are so helpfull we have no negative people, all want to help out each other, which is wonderful, I'm still in the learning stages took a few messages to get my head around creating backups but I was not alone, I got great help and to those people and you Peter thank you so MUCH, my shows are much better thanks to you and even though I have the merish plus player and okyweb I actually never used them, well I do use the merish now and then, reason when floor is full, I'm on my ipad and I have to wait till the track finishes before I can just to another song, so this is my plan going forward now I want to
But a new ipad just like the one I have and clone it with the one I now have with over 500 tracks, I really do not want to mess anything up here, I said before it's my very first time using Apple and yes I'm loving it so far,
But I definately feel if I had the second I pad it would save me having to jump onto the keyboards or playing a track from my Merish 2 completely different sounds, I think 2 ipads Is the answer
but BIG??? how, can anyone please give me a guide here step by step how to achieve an exact clone I suppose I have to buy the exact same ipad gen 9 again 256GB if I want the same sound from both, or will any gen do,

also going forward one stap at a time I would love if Peter did a tutorial on midi the lighting to parts of a track,
I know I'm jumping the gun here, so firstly I would like to sort my duplicate Ipad, then go on from there,

The easiest way to get an initial clone is to initialize the new iPad based on the old. When you start the installation process of a new iPad you can select to move all apps and settings from another iPad. Select this and follow the instructions. Everything should work after that. You might need to restore the in app purchase though.

After that you will have to work with backups to transfer changes from one to the other iPad until version 3.7 which will feature iCloud syncing between devices. That will then keep your devices in sync automatically if you have enough storage on iCloud. But I guess the 1$ plan with 50GB should work for most users and the next step with 3$ for 200GB should be more than enough for even the largest libraries.

peter thanks Peter for your advice, I suppose my reason to buy another ipad is the fact that having that little gap of time between tracks from one song to the next I select, waiting for the song to completely end then leaves a gap of a few seconds for dancers to walk off the floor, is there an option in settings where I can while singing and finding my next song decide to press play and the next song will start straight away even though the previous is not completely finished,

Yes there is. Enable the crossfade button in Crossfade settings. See here: https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/settings/#crossfade

With that you can move to the next song anytime you like.
