peter Not sure they target the same use case as Stage Traxx.
According to their writeup they are targeting performers in venues so i assume they are targeting us performers but the software is absolutely not geared to do anything useful , i agree with you i don't really think they know who they are targeting , perhaps a rehearsal tool for musicians it might serve some use but otherwise it has no real usefulness to do things they claim it can do, the backing tracks seem to be of reasonable quality and the ability to turn off tracks seems nice but using it as an on stage tool it has no thought put in to it.
I like the count in and the fact you can turn off the audio and just have a visual count, but i think logic wise this software is way out of wack there are so many basic logic mistakes it wont last if they don't correct them.
The looping logic sucks but i do like the solid colours.
DESIGNED FOR THE STAGE
Even without an internet connection, carry all your tracks with you. Jamzone is the perfect companion app for stage performers.
FOR STAGE PERFORMERS
Jamzone is the perfect tool to create covers of your favorite tracks with top-notch sound quality. Build your setlist, adapt the pitch and tempo, create your custom mix of instruments on the fly, all in one place! You can even go wild on stage and keep improvising on loops.
This is what they are advertising , remember years ago I said to you to think about an easy system of supply songs and perform on stage software, well I’m glad you decided to go with an easy to use software on stage as priority because Jamzone is useless for on stage use ,
Perhaps ST3 should up it’s game in delivering multi track files so as you create in the DAW you save to a folder that contains all your multitrack data that then loads to ST3 in one go simplifying use of multitrack loading and providing a much nicer mixer like Jamzone to really make it very fast and simple, that’s when I would consider using multitrack , at the moment the system is too time consuming to make it worth while for the end results that a simple stereo track can do.
If ST3 could deliver a method like midi does where you edit in multitrack you save in Audio multitrack as one file then you load that file to ST3 multitrack and everything is there in a multitrack folder as that song and a nice mixer to manipulate basics mute, solo, pan, volume add reverb, general pitch shift and tempo THATS WHEN I WOULD CONSIDER MULTITRACK on stage as it would not be time consuming to create and it would give you a lot more control of your backing which then beats STERO track hands down as a worth while method of operation.
Anyway just pointing things out as food for thought , Jamzone in its current design does not pose any threat to ST3 but if they change it to target on stage ease of use then it definitely be a big threat.
Have a great day everyone!
