tjyoung The lines exist if you have created them , it just hides the midi data if there is any on that line , the fact that you haven’t entered any lyrics or chords does not matter you have created new lines so they create blank space.
If I was using midi program changes on the first line I would enter timecode [00.00.00] first then I would enter Lyric named, ( Program Change Sent ), then on the same line without creating a new line I would enter all my PG change needs, this way when the song gets loaded I would immediately get a highlighted message (PG change 34 sent) this would indicate what change was sent and it would be highlighted indicating it has already been done plus letting you know which patch you have sent you could even name the patch Lead guitar fuzz etc.
This would only use up one line and give you an idea what is going on before you hit start.
