Hi Peter, firstly thanks again for making ST3 the heart of my live performances, i have noticed the audiance which i have played for over 40 years are still wanting me , so all i can say ST3 must be the mayor factor in this as i have not improved in my performance especially my looks so it must be ST3 thats lifted the shows as i have a lot more confidence on stage due to looping , because it gives me so much more control on stage that i can have fun with the audience and i can tease them in so many different ways, and now if i dont have looping on a song it feels like my hands are tied, so i am introducing looping to all my 2700 audio files, so no matter if i am a DJ or a solo performer i have full control, i believe this is whats made the biggest difference.

Now the big BUT!
I truly believe the layout of the interface can be improved greatly on all 3 devices for performers, yet not changing a thing but shifting sections that dont work so well.
I believe the waveform block row should be always above the stop start button area, for a large number of very important reasons, i know it look great to where it is but it is not practical.
By always beeing just above the bottom controls ,
1 it never changes position which is less distracting
2 there is never a need to place your hand over the lyrics on ipad, iphone
3 on imac 27" the mouse travel distance is minimal when hitting start then choosing loops
4 On iphone you can do everything one handed with a thumb, as you hit start the loops are right there where you can one handed choose a loop or reposition your playhead without having to grab the iphone with one hand while going to the upper screen to choose a loop with the second hand and then blocking your screen, this is a BIG ADVANTAGE and a great pain in the butt at the moment.

5 on all devices i always hated the close the window function it has never pleased me for a number of major reasons, you dont really know where or what to press and it has continually been accidentaly pressed on virtually all my gigs at some time or another, plus where you press to close is not where you press to open this is confusing and a pain when on stage, what i propose is a simple button attached to the corner where xfade is , and attached to the waveform area which would be at the bottom and never moves or changes, this button to be available in both screens so you can use your right hand to easily expose your song list or hide it all on this one button , which does not change ever and you are always selecting in the same spot to get the screen you want, this would eliminate false trigerring the wrong screens when selecting the loops or playing around with the playhead. This also eliminates getting the dreaded hand covering the lyrics screen. And its allways there in both screens.

6 i strongly still believe having a button above the Xfade to be a loop SELECT rather then PERMANENT LOOP is a lot more valuable option.

7 With Imac i believe the advantage of not having to continually travel with the mouse from bottom of screen to top of screen would be a great operational effort/time saver as all things needed are at bottom of screen.

8 Having history , playlist, song, settings always displayed at bottom would greatly reduce confusion and the facilities would be always at hand, especially on my iphone in portrait mode where i have a blank block of nothing there anyway why not expose these important controls at all times this is also true in ipad portrait mode, Imac has plenty of screen space this should be a must, why hide the things we always need , they should always be exposed and reside in the same spot in all windows in portrait mode.

9 i still rather have nice sharp clear loops in colour without the waveform dicolouring the buttons, i know it looks great and wanky on an imac but it does nothing for the ipad especially the iphone where the colours are very hard to distinguish due to a small screen size.

Basically i am asking for not much change , just a reposition of the waveform area and a rethink of some button controls , as things are not as good as they could be on stage with certain orientations and devices.
This is a general observation using all devices.

But on the more positive note, i am absolutely loving the loop creation on all devices i must say i almost preffer the ipad than the imac to edit the loops as i can use my finger/pencil to edit as the imac insane screen size almost makes me work harder having to shift the cursor such large distances to edit, but it works very nicely.Plus the iPad Is portable so I can edit anywhere and save TIME.

Any comments wellcome cheers Damir
