Beat Buddy Drum Machine

Hi!

I would like to know if it is possible to sync a Beat Buddy Drum Machine to the songs in StageTraxx? Will it ‘play’ when I step on the drum machine pedal and will it stay in sync with the tempo? The Beat Buddy drum machine has a midi input/output.

kirkhaiqel yes it is possible. You can embed midi commands into STAGETRAXX lyrics to select the respective Beatbuddy song and use the STAGETRAXX start and stop commands to operate the BB. But I only use it for lyrics only songs not audio songs.

Sorry, I don't know Beat Buddy and its syncing capabilities. In any case it could be tricky to get both in sync. I think the better solution would be to record the beat buddy audio output and use the multitrack feature in Stage Traxx for playback.

With lyrics only songs, Beat Buddy should work absolutely fine 🙂

The other thing I do is to create a series of drum loops eg count in, intro, verse, chorus, and outro using the beat buddy using the Twisted Wave Recorder app to record and arrange them. I then copy the file into STAGETRAXX and use the looping function to play them. This saves taking the beat buddy on the road with me and sounds just as good.
