Hi Peter, good news is I had a good large gig today , but I found some irritating looping issues.
Controlling the loops is still a problem, they work beautifully if you can trigger them by finger, but I’m finding I am not comfortable using foot control, so I use the screen instead.
Why do I prefer the screen?
Well the issue is when I am back at the microphone about 1 meter away from the screen I find it hard to see in detail what I am selecting so I move closer to the screen, but when I do that I might as well use the screen as it’s quicker than hitting a foot switch multiple times, but this brings another problem, numerous times I have accidentally brought the window down instead which is a major issue, I talked about this before, it’s way too easy to drop down the player window when using loops on screen , the reason is TAP TO CLOSE function should be limited to that area only and not all the way across the screen, this would prevent accidental drop down of the player window.
But the real issue is why am I not using the foot pedals as intended, well the reason is I am further back from the screen and I don’t see the loops easily, mind you I have 20/20 vision I’ve just spent a sheep load of money restoring my vision and am happy to say it’s perfect, so I blame the interface for this insecurity, and as I said before the loop buttons are washed out with the waveform bleeding through making them hard to see on stage, the loops are small enough already and being washed out does not help whatsoever, so to improve this problem it would help to make the loops solid, this might help the situation.
So at the moment I love the looping creation and its usability at home, but I am not all that confident using it on stage as it’s got problems that make it unsafe.
Cheers Damir
