Working with Regions outside of regions.

Peter. Love the app. I've been using Stage Traxx for 4 years now. Thx for all your hard work and dedication. It really is such a strong tool for musicians. A couple of questions on the new add ons and future updates:
Could you include a button to skip to regions without being in a region? i.e. Move around the song to regions at any point during the song, much like a DJ controller capabilities with performance pads.
#2. I'm hoping this next one is a minor tweak. With the fade out set at 6 seconds and the fade in at 1 second, sometimes I need to fade out of a song and then 4 seconds into that fade start the crossfade(really helpful when the 2 songs are 1/2 step away). While the crossfade is perfect, this action freezes the pause button on yellow and doesn't allow for a fade out of the next song as per the fad out settings for the play button fades or a crossfade into the next song. It is a hard stop.
Again thx for all your hard work. The app is a godsend.

It would be technically possible to jump to a certain region immediately but I don't know how to add this to the user interface in a way that prevents you from accidentally triggering this jump. What you have in mind are the Cue buttons in typical DJ apps, right?

I'm afraid I can't unfreeze the stop button during a crossfade. During crossfades there is lots of stuff going on behind the scenes and interrupting this is simple not possible with the audio engine I built. Therefore I lock all actions that could cause trouble during crossfades.

Peter. Thx. I get the complex nature of what's going on in the background on the crossfade. Now that you mentioned that I recall reading or hearing that concern somewhere in the manual or one of your tutorials. Makes sense to failsafe. Just thought I'd ask and maybe throw an idea in the mix if that option ever comes up in the future.
Yes, much like a DJ cue or more specific, the performance pads on a DJ controller or app. If there was just one button to skip to the 1st region the user has selected or to initiate the Audio Region Play feature. In my current work flow I need to define a region early in the song and have it play through that region in order to get me to the option of skipping around or looping. Not life and death... just asking.

The region select button already works like that when playback is stopped.

OK, adding a button to jump to the selected region would be possible I guess but it would not be the same experience as in a DJ app. The jump is not really immediate. There is some latency in the range of about 100ms involved. So hitting the button on the beat is nearly impossible. This is due to the fact that I did not build the audio engine with realtime control in mind but with stability.

We do love the stability. Does the audio engine know the time grid? Once a proposed new added button is pressed, could it change on the next beat, next measure, or next 4th measure without latency issues? Again, not urgent. I think with your addition of Audio Regions, we are seeing the advantage of live musician(s) and Stage Traxx(with lyrics & charts) compared to Performance DJ's.

No, Stage Traxx does not analyze songs for a beat grid.
