Track ends but counter keeps going with no sound

I have StageTraxx 3 on iPad and I have found recently that when a track is supposed to finish and move onto the next track, it goes silent but the pause button still shows and the counter continues untill I manually stop the song. It stays on the same song and I have to then choose the next song. Is there a way to stop this as it has never happened before and I haven't changed any settings. Is it a bug from the latest update?

Make sure you are running version 3.6.2. This was a bug in 3.6.0.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response. I am running version 3.6.2 (8611) and this error is occurring. It doesn't happen on all songs. I have just found a workaround which is to trim the end of the song by a couple of milliseconds but this is quite a manual task to change all of the songs to this.

It happens on all your songs? What hardware are you running on? And which iOS version are you using?

It is an iPad 7 and is running iOS 15.6.1
I'm working through a set list and out of around 10 songs it was doing it on 2 songs if that helps.

Is it always the same songs or does it happen on random songs? And what audio format are you using for the songs? Do you use bluetooth or Airplay for audio output?

It seems to be the same songs. The file format from what I can tell is m4a, but I do have other songs in the same format that aren't affected. We just have it plugged it in via the headphone jack at the moment.

Hi Peter, new to Stage Traxx, great app :-)
I have encountered this issue as well, not on every song but on last few I have added. Counter just keeps going, not the end of the world as I just stop the track but it's definitely doing it on random tracks.

OK, I will add a failsafe to make sure the end of the song is not exceeded during playback. This change will be released in version 3.6.3 next week.

I think so. The player keeps playing silence. For some reason the song ending is not detected. 3.6.3 will have a failsafe that will be triggered when the end time of a song is exceeded.

Hi. Sorry I haven't responded sooner, but the note from Reece is correct. It only seems to be affecting new tracks that I am adding to my playlists. The songs already existing are having no issues, but new songs always carry on after the song stops. As I mentioned there is a workaround which is to knock off 0.01 seconds off the end of the song and this makes the song stop when it should do. Cheers, Mark
