IMAC ZOOM IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTION

Hi Peter, is it possible to make the IMac mouse up/down gesture operate the zoom when the cursor is within the waveform area and when you move outside it, it reverts back to normal scroll of page up/down, this would speed things up greatly.

So then you have the left/right swipe to move within the waveform and once you find your point of interest you simply swipe up/Down to zoom , I would also have both of these gestures ignore the follow playhead no matter what selection state you are in as priotity is creating loops not following a playhead.

That was one of my first ideas but technically it is the same gesture as the scroll gesture and that is already in use.

Yes i understand that, but the logic to be changed when in the waveform area, instead it beeing a scroll it becomes a zoom when in the waveform area only .
The up/down gesture just controls the zoom in wavefor area and then it controls the scroll page up/down when outside the viewfinder area.

The problem is that up/down and left/right is the same gesture and already in use to make the waveform scroll left and right.

peter sorry i didnt know, i assumed the apple mouse treated the two gestures seperately where you can then control them as needed by the software windows, because i have software that has that capability where up/down is zoom and left right is left right scroll of data.
So i dont know how that was possible, is it something within the software itself that has to change its operational prefference depending which window the mouse pointer is in?

Most likely it's because ST3 is not a real macOS application. It uses a technology called Catalyst which makes it possible to run an iOS app on macOS.
