Hi Peter, I have now fired up my iMac to check out the looping feature and have immediately found some issues with it.
It seems like no one has been giving you feedback on that platform so here it goes after using it for 5 minutes I found 2 very frustrating things so far and will report things as I go along.
- When you double tap on a loop it fully exposes the loop but it actually over exposes the loop and you can’t see the handles like on iPad or iPhone
2 The ZOOM is very frustrating to use, especially on the iMac as you have no pinch or finger movement ability, you fully rely on the zoom buttons, and the logic of their operation is very poor it is continually fighting you, there has to be a better way.
I hate how you can’t zoom in on a point of interest while in play mode where it auto zooms on the playhead, which is not my place of interest at that time, you seem to be zooming on the wrong place of interest and to the wrong requirement.
When I use zoom I am interested in the visual aspect of that area so I can closely examine it and make changes, you seem to think I am interested in the now playing audio and you visually zoom in on that which is not the case.
The main purpose is to create very accurate loops not to follow the playhead by default.
You need to allow us to just choose an area we are interested in and zoom in on that with the Center of screen as the focus point not some random point where the playhead my happen to be.
At the moment using the playhead as the focus point creates a lot of confusion as the focus point keeps changing depending on where the playhead is , there is no definitive zoom operation.
