Start Song & Stop Double Click

I typically set my songs to start and stop with a double click. I also have a button on my Helix Control floorboard programed through midi to do this. However even though on the iPad I have to double click on the floorboard you only click once. This setting in ST2 would follow the preference in the software to follow with midi commands as well. Personally I prefer double click to avoid accidentally stopping or starting a song.

There is no double tap feature for remote actions implemented.

Just curious why that feature did not carry over from ST2? Before I was able to double tap with MIDI. Is it something you would consider in the future having the MIDI commands follow the settings again?

In version 2 it worked only because it was a side effect of the way I implemented it and it was not intentional.

My reasoning is that you only need double tap on screen controls as it is very easy to hit the wrong control accidentally. With pedals I figured you do not hit the wrong pedal as easily.

But if the demand is there I could add it as a feature request.

Probably when using a guitar MIDI controller the need is even more so with guitar players big clumsy feet LOL. OK for now I moved the button to a spot on the floorboard that I am less likely to accidentally hit it.

No need, in version 3.6 there are separate actions to start and stop playback that you can map. So you could just map the start action to your pedal and nothing would happen if you press that during playback.

I have the BT-200|S-2 also. I have 2 FS on the pedal but would like 3 or 4 commands. Right now I have page up/down. I'd like song start and next song. Is there a way to implement a click/hold as a command or double tap? Or do I need a different pedal? Is there a pedal you'd recommend if so?

No, you will need to buy a larger pedal. BT-200 S4 would be a reasonable choice. Or the new BT-500 S4.
