Airdrop Files from Mac Book to iPad

I have just started to use StageTraxx3. I have used Set List Maker for years but having just discovered ST3 I fancy giving it a try! I record all my backing tracks using Logic Pro. With Midi tracks I can airdrop them from my Mac Book to iPad with no problem. Midi tracks where I have added voices as audio tracks won't airdrop to my iPad. Can anyone help please?

MickAbbott in Logic Pro, hit MIX and bounce your track to a single MP3 file, then drop the file into your iPad.

Stage Traxx can not open midi files. So most likely that's your problem.

My use case is different even if also want to AirDrop a song form Mac to iPad.

But not from Logic or Finder, but from Mac ST3, once the (new) audio regions and all my settings are in place. Is that possible?

Yes, export the song with the new export function. Then Airdrop that file to the iPad.

As a result of Ant's answer to my question, I have found the answer for me; when using Set List Maker, I was recording in Logic Pro, saving to iTunes and Set List Maker would use the track from iTunes. Some of the tracks I recorded years ago, before the advantage of modern apps, and it was they that would not Airdrop. By default, I discovered that if I 'dragged' the track from iTunes into a Logic Pro 'audio track' and titled it, I could then Airdrop into STXX; in case this helps anyone! Mick

Peter, Just so you know, I have Airdropped all my MIDI tracks into STXX successfully. Best wishes, Mick

Hi mick can you explain how did you drop your midi to STXX ? How do you then use the midi from STXX live through your keyboard ? Whats your set up like ?

I don’t think he meant midi files. ST3 can not read midi files.
