Hi all, i have just purchased a LOGITECH bluetooth audio adaptor as some people have been using this type of option and claim it eliminates cables and works well for them, so i bought it to see for myself, first impressions, its built well, its easy to setup, it has a 240v power pack which is great if you plan to run a long show, i have connected it to my yamaha mixer stereo line inputs and must say it sounds great from my iPad pro 10.5 inch using bluetooth out in ST3.
A very interesting test i have done where i have an exact same song in ST3 with exact same settings on my iPhone 11 max pro ST3 using a lightning stereo audio out with a cable straight in to an identical line input of my yamaha mixer and exact same gain and eq structure, i found the bluetooth connection had more gain in to the mixer i estimated 3db and the sound quality seemed better through the bluetooth device, i also found i could walk from the front room of the house where the system was setup to the back yard which would be at least 20 meters without line of sight and having a steel framed house with an iron roof, i was surprised there was no break up of audio and i could change tracks and still no break up my block is 29 meters deep so i would have to walk down the street to test its breakdown point , so i was very impressed with this, and i am definitely going to get another one so i can have my iPad through one which would be my backing tracks and my iPhone through the other which would be my background music which i should be able to easily walk away from my system and have full control of my background music while i am not performing.
But time will tell how reliable this setup will be so far i don't see a problem, the unit automatically hooks up to your device when its nearby, and its really easy to pair anyway, so if anyone needs to replay music from their devices like dancing floor shows that arrive last moment i can easily pair my iPhone unit to their device and off they go, no cables required, i really think this might be a goer, i will report back once i have used it a few times.
Has anyone already done this ?
It would be good to give feedback so we can all benefit and save time.
