How can I create space before the song starts to insert timed lyrics for count in? Is this a global setting for all songs or can it be done on a single song?

Pmruss to create blank space at the beginning to allow text only count in you need to insert silence using a DAW 3 to 8 seconds depending on the tempo of the song, the global time delay in playback settings is another way to introduce a pre programmed delay across all songs but this does not allow you to enter a visual text click it basically just delays a start after you hit play.
So if you need text count in it is not an option.

You can only trim a song but not add silence before a song.

That does not work as long as Stage Traxx has no knowledge of the beat grid. How should it know where your one is and how to count in? Just add it to the audio if you need a count in.

peter and if you want you can also add a visual 1 2 3 4 count in with low hi hat to give you timecode guidance when programming the visual count you can then remove the audio if you want so you only have a visual count or you can pan the hi hats to right side if you are using a stereo track with mono out, if using multitrack just feed the click to band and still have a visual count as well, there are many ways to achieve your goal just use your imagination.
Yes it would be nice to be able to just select it but that’s not the way ST3 is running to make it possible to program.
Perhaps in the future when software like this becomes the normal thing, at the moment it’s breaking new ground and it’s hard to give everyone what they want.

I just had an idea that maybe will be helpful.

Create a silence track of let's say 10 seconds. Name it silence.

Import it in the ST3, duplicate it and name it "x song name intro".

Then manually cut it with the trim edit to the correct duration and manualy add the blinking metronome and set it to show only while playing.

Then put this creation before the song and turn on the automatic transition from the intro to the song.

That way when you hit play it will be the 1st down beat and the rest will be visually there.

Maybe it is stupid idea but maybe it will be useful.
