Spacing Chords

Hi there
I am trying to space chords at the end of a line like this:

I [G]know I stand in line [D7] [Am] [D7]

However when the song is playing, those three chords are jammed up against each other. Is there a way to force them apart? Some spacer we can put in without the spacer appearing in the lyrics?

Yes, choose the fixed font width option. Then whitespace will not be squashed.

Nah - tried the fixed width font and looks terrible on screen. Still squashes the chords at the end of the line.

Is there a way you could add some logic to the package that auto lifts and separates the chords with one space if they were placed in the lyrics like in my example above? Gosh - that would be fab.

Peter - I think I've solved the problem...

If I write the three "hanging" chords like this: [D7 Am D7]

Stage Traxx spaces them and appears to recognise them as chords... is this a solution?

Yes that might be a solution, but I guess I didn't make myself really clear. If you want custom spacing you need to pad the chords with spaces. And that is easier when using the fixed width option as each character takes up the same amount of space.

So what would work in your case is to add many spaces between the chord tags. I can't really write it here as the forum software removes multiple spaces. But after for example [D7] just write about 10 spaces.

Hello,
I recently opened a support call for a similar item to this one.
It appears that the line spacing issue for chords over lines of lyrics is a known item.
The suggestion to just add spaces is a little problematic as it really increases the effort to correctly create a chart.
Has there been a fix released for this?
If not, is one planned and if so when?
Love the software, but it took me hours of fiddling around with lyrics to get them to display correctly.
Way to much back and forth between the Lyric editor and the lyric display when the song is playing.
It's extremely cumbersome.....
I'm hoping that something can be done to resolve this.

Enable the fixed width font if you want to place chords manually or rely on the bracketed chords.
