I am new to StageTraxx 3 and I've been using the trial version for three days until I created 6 songs ..So, I decided to purchase. I specifically purchased a MAC Mini to evaluate ST3 software. (I'm not a MAC user). I've been using StageTracker 3.33 for several years and starting to panic over what to do when I swap computers or hard drives. (No Registration support from LIVETRACKER even though I purchased it). I won't purchase LiveTracker for the bloated features and the terrible registrations... and also the price! Stage Tracker 3 ran great on my Surfacce Pro 3 but not LiveTracker. Anyway, I appreciate the work you've done with StageTraxx 3 (seems to be all I need) and I hope you will continue to optimize StageTraxx and not let feature creep ruin the performance. You've done a remarkable job and I appreciate having something to fall back on. Now, I have 6 hours worth of material to convert from StageTracker 3 to StageTraxx3. So, do to the similarities and the names, were you involved with the development of StageTracker3.33? What would be the minimum IPad needed to run StageTraxx3 live with multitracks? Not sure if I want to go with a ipad or maybe just a 2012 Macbook because of the I/O ports. Anybody with the didn't buy an ipad for live gigs? The 2012 i5 Mini with 16G ram works great but not portable. Thanks!
Feature Creep

Flee Not answering all your questions with this, but what I love about using iPad over my old notebook setup is when getting rained on (which happened to me a month ago) or when someone spills wine on your keyboard during a set (has also happened, eventually leading to a keyboard replacement!) iPad (with case) is far less fragile than a Mac computer. Somebody else will have more to say about multiport iPad outputs, which I don't use.
Flee I have all the Apple devices you mentioned and without doubt would use iPad Pro with headphone socket any screen size and if you can get the last model that had this make sure you get one with large memory , this is the only reason I have not updated to latest iPad as it needs a crappy adapter lead which is short and not practical to have on a mic stand as it looks ugly to the audience and creates another point of bad connection possibility, so when I bought the latest iPad Pro I handed it over to my wife to play games on I kept the good old one that never gave me a problem and as it was 250gb I still have space.
Ant has also pointed other benefits which I totally agree with.
Good luck
I'm not involved in Stage Tracker. It seems that app is even older than Stage Traxx (already about 9 years in the making) so I guess I have shamelessly used a very similar name without knowing.
I try to moderate feature requests as good as I can but new feature will be coming for at least until version 3.7. After that I think I will consider version 3 to be feature complete. Small things might still be added but no more large features.
Regarding the minimum iPad: ST version 3.7 will require iOS13 so you want to buy a device capable of running iOS13.
