peter the simpler the better, thats why i never got in to ableton, and i use logic for editing only, but never got in to the looping stuff as i preffer using my own creativity to create backing tracks, less is often more, so i would be very happy just to be able to jump around a single song without it sounding glitchy and for it to be remote easy, and simple to construct , the most important thing is to get the real basics to work well on stage cause thats all thats really needed, if its to complicated it probably would not be used.
Cant wait, out of all the features this is the one i regard is the most important to me, that will give me a noticable edge on stage.
Just a thought to stimulate your creativity juices.
Here is another idea to keep in mind, imagine using this 6 section looping idea for a totaly different reason, easy creation of medleys, say you have a limit of 6 loop points, but instead of beeing able to load in to those loop points only material from the now selected song, you are able to load a loop point from any other song song in your ST3 folder, meaning you can quickly create up to 6 song smooth transition medley of songs using the loops so not only the music but also the data base is loaded so all synced lyrics also get instantly loaded for each loop point, this would give us very simple way to create medleys and rearange medleys when they get tired.I know its probably imposible to achieve but food for thought, you never ever know if you never ever go.
Anyway just another idea to think about while designing the looping system.
My problem is i am at least 10 years ahead of times when it comes to ideas, i built my own powered speakers about 15 years before they were available on the market, i built my own electric car 12 years before the first electric cars hit the market in Australia.
I think im out of sync with the world 😵💫 i should have gone in to computers as a kid not electronics, hang on computers werent a real thing then 🥹🤪😭😤
Just bashing ideas around.
