Hi,

I'm loving the new app and getting to grips via the tutorials, thank you. One question i have is what woul dbe the best way to link the backing track output to my PA system? I'm hoping to be as wireless as possible so looking at bluetoth audio receivers plugged into my mixer to play the ipad audio through. Would this be something that would work? other than this, i'd be trailing a 2-3m 3.5mm jack cable to my mixer which would probably get tangled/stood on and definitely damaged.

Many thanks in advance

Dave

Bluetooth audio onstage will lead to dropouts with lots of people in the room. During rehearsals it is fine, but please don't use it directly in a venue. If you absolutely need wireless, then AirPlay on a dedicated strong Wifi network can be stable but has high latency of up to 2 seconds.

The gold standard is a wired connection. If you are worried about damaged cables, just run your 3.5mm cable to a DI box and then use standard microphone cables to the mixer.

I have a Behringer digital mixer I bought recently. It’s great as I can handle everything on the app on my iPad.
It has a dedicated Bluetooth channel which I tried linking to the iPad I use for gigs. It worked fine mostly but now and again glitches so not useable for a live gig. Will be back to a good old cable Saturday !
Previously tried à a Bluetooth receiver connected to my desk. That was a disaster !
    Stick to cables !

DWM one day the big boys will develop a wireless system that actually works, but for now they are too busy developing new models of the same shit to take the money out of our pockets 😩🤪😂

It’s funny how we can develop a wireless communication system that can communicate all the way to mars yet we can’t build a device that can reliably and simply work in a large room, go figure🤪

Thank you all for your messages. I'll do the DI box option. That sounds great...before i play around with wireless receivers.
